Testimonials

"Families In Transition mediated my separation and divorce a year ago. Chris DiMaggio is fair, balanced and very knowledgeable. He guided us through each step and helped make a difficult process smooth and bearable. I highly recommend Families In Transition." M. of East Suffolk L. I.

"It took me awhile to settle on the idea of mediation. I wanted to be protected and thought a tough lawyer was what I needed. I found the mediation process to be one of communication and settlement and I was able to see that forcing my husband to do what I insisted upon was not going to work with my children. Chris was patient when I wasn't able to see this. The private caucus with Chris showed me what's possible when the mind is settled, and not what I thought I wanted when I was angry." J. Nassau L.I.

"I was a doubter…now I am convinced that anyone who chooses litigation over this wonderful communicative process called mediation will be sorry!" B. L.I.

Hi Chris,
Congratulations on being chosen for the committee! It sounds like an opportunity to do some seriously necessary work. I share your sentiment on reconciliation, it seems like so many people are walking away from their commitments way too easily. I still wish that _____and I could have taken one more chance to make things right. I miss having the family together, and it is so painful to see the way it affects the kids. I had no idea how much sadness would come with the divorce. I realize we would have killed each other in court. Your calming approach worked in settling our issues, Good luck in your Mediation 1st endeavor, take care. H. Sufflok L.I.
